The number of accreditations and exemptions of the professional body offered at De Montfort de Leicester University (DMU) allows students to obtain professional qualifications at an accelerated rate.
The Department of Accounting and Finance has just received the accreditation of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the largest management body in the world, which grants graduates exemptions of up to eight exam papers.
Another recent accreditation of the Association of Certified Accountants with Position (ACCA), the global body for professional accountants, comes with exemptions of up to nine documents, the maximum available for any degree degree.
This allows students to rate faster than some of their counterparts, giving them a leading edge in the labor market.
Yasmin Wilson, a finance and accounting student of the second year, said: "Having professional qualifications opens doors. There are not many universities that have so many exceptions: I have chosen the best."

"The exemptions are prepared for professional examinations once they are in full-time employment and this makes DMU students on the map."
